Laminar Shear Box System
A moderate-scale laminar shear box was designed and fabricated
for various geotechnical testing under static or dynamic loading conditions.
Movement of the laminar frames, when subject to uni-directional dynamic loading,
provides a mechanism by which energy propagating through the soil can be absorbed.
This energy absorption simulates in-situ soil conditions, in which energy can propagate
through a uniform soil deposit over great distances with minimal energy reflection.

In order to bring in the test model manufactured outside,
it provides 2 big entrances with large inner space.
It also offers 2 overhead cranes with maximum capacity of 300kN,
together with electric forklifts, scissor-lifts, air-compressors and electric tools,
making it possible to carry out tests actively all the time.
